How To Advertising Without Breaking Your Budget

Have you ever tried to come up with a method to increase your brand name, brand identity, or get your product out to a wide variety of consumers? It can be a daunting task there is a lot of media outlets touting their wares as the best.

While there is no silver bullet, no quick 'n easy solution there are ways to increase consumer awareness without spending a fortune. One method is putting your name on gadgets; you know baseball caps, writing pens, drinking cups, etc. The problem is that these 'gadgets' can be quite expensive and if you buy cheap trinkets, no one really wants them and they get tossed into a drawer, or trashcan.

Well what about bottled water? Bottled water is a rapidly growing industry that shows no signs of slowing anytime soon. Bottled water is cheap when bought in case lots. You can easily obtain several cases of bottled water for under $0.50 per bottle!

Okay, sound attractive? But how do you get your brand name on a bottle of water? It is easy just go to a bottler that provides private labels. They can print just about anything you want on a label affixed to a bottle of water.

Let's say you are a car dealer; Jones Ford; all you have to do is provide the bottler with your logo, and other pertinent information such as address, telephone number, web address, anything you want the public to know. The bottler will design a label (inexpensively) and bingo! Your name is on a bottle of water.

Now lets get those bottles out into the public. Check around your area, find events that are being held and give them your water. Local golf tournaments are handy and the people putting on the tournaments are always looking for 'give-a-ways'. You can provide a cooler with ice and your bottles at a Tee location and when the golfers come by they'll appreciate a cold bottle of water and as they drink the water they'll be handing a product branded with your logo and product (company) name. The best part is you are giving away a product (gadget) that will be used and appreciated by those receiving the water.

Other events that could work for your company are: Little League, Softball games; Track Meets; Tennis Tournaments; Soccer games; Fishing Tournaments; Hoop Shoots; Triathlon type events; Local walking trails; civic events, etc. Of course you should also just give away bottles of water to customers that visit your place of business If you operate a large flower/plant nursery you can provide cool water to those wandering through your grounds as they shop for landscaping. The important point is that customers always enjoy something free, especially when it is a product they will like and enjoy. When you provide something of real value to a customer or prospective customer, the gift will be appreciated and when it is appreciated it makes an impact - they will remember, they will recall your brand when they are looking for the products or services you supply.

For the price of $0.50 to $1.00 you can make a really statement with a bottle of water that carries your brand name, logo, and/or company name. Users of that bottle of water will be handling the product and they can't help but seeing your name! In advertising getting the customer to look and read your message is the major part of the battle. A simple bottle of water can be an important part of your overall advertising program and they will not break your budget.
